This website covers the Clarke’s who emigrated from Ireland to the Pakenham, Ontario, Canada about 1820. The history covers Robert Clarke who lived 1816-1898. Pictured above is a famous landmark of the town – the Pakenham Bridge. The bridge is the only 5 arch stone bridge in all of North America. This bridge was constructed to bridge the Mississippi River for the Village of Pakenham in 1901, three years after Robert’s death.
